What should I expect from my photography session with you?My sessions are designed to be relaxed and stress-free! I work with you to plan the perfect session, taking into consideration your preferences and style. I use natural lighting and soft, neutral tones to create beautiful, timeless images that you and your family will cherish for years to come. It is my goal to get to know my clients in advance to ensure that our time together and the photos we capture are easy-going and natural!

What should I wear for my maternity or family session?I recommend wearing clothes that are comfortable and flattering, and that reflect your personal style. For maternity sessions, I recommend wearing something form-fitting to show off your growing belly. For family sessions, I suggest coordinating outfits in neutral tones that provide good contrast from the planned location background. As part of your package, I will work with you on planning outfits and making recommendations that will support your individual session goals.
-
Do you offer outdoor or on-location sessions?Yes! All of my sessions are held on-location. I will work with clients ahead of time to select a location that best fits their needs and and creates a beautiful backdrop for your images, whether that be in your home, at a park, beach, or other outdoor location.

How long does a typical session last?A typical session lasts anywhere from 1-2 hours, depending on the type of session and the number of people being photographed. Most often, I have found that about an hour is the sweet spot for capturing a wide range of beautiful images, while keeping the interest of little ones or others being photographed. For newborn sessions in particular, I offer a more flexible timeline to ensure that we account for potential feedings, diaper changes, sleepy little ones, or other children that you'd like to include in the photos. I never want parents to feel rushed to fit within a rigid timeline at this often unpredictable stage of life! As a mom, I have been in your shoes and want to do everything I can to make your session feel calm and relaxed. For this reason, I always block off a little extra time in my schedule for these sessions. For clients opting for the First Year package, milestone mini sessions tend to be slightly shorter, closer to 45 minutes each. This allows us to create a beautiful selection of images from key stages throughout your little one's first year of life! During the booking process, I will work with all clients to determine what package/timeline best suits their individual needs.

What is included in the session fee?The session fee includes a pre-session phone consultation, wardrobe consultation, session styling, professional post-processing and editing of images, access to a complete set of high-resolution digital photos with personal usage rights and downloading, and the time and talent of the photographer. All sessions require a $300 deposit to hold the date, which is credited towards your total bill. Session fees are non-refundable, but can be transferred to a new date in the event that extenuating circumstances cause us to reschedule.
-
How many images come with your packages? All of our packages include the complete set of digital images that were captured during the session. The number of images taken in a session varies, but is typically about 150-200 photos.

Do you offer print products or albums?Yes! I am pleased to offer a wide range of museum-quality print products and albums for you to choose from. Products are custom-made, using the best archival materials on the market. Clients who are interested in purchasing products will get design support and selection advice to ensure that your vision is brought to life in a timeless, stunning manner! Products are priced a la carte and vary based on the selected item. Whether you are interested in a framed print, canvas, or album, I will work with you to help you preserve and cherish your memories for years to come.

When should I book my session?Sessions typically book several months in advance, so I recommend reaching out early! This will ensure that I have availability on my calendar and allows you to secure a date and time that works best for you and your family. Generally, I encourage maternity clients to plan their session for sometime between weeks 28-34 of their pregnancy to ensure that we can complete your session before your little one makes their appearance (and before you're too uncomfortable!).
If you have any additional questions or would like to book a session, please contact me and I'd be happy to help!
